Youtube Landscape Photography Channels To Look Out For In 2022

Since the beginning of the Covid Pandemic many people have turned to online content for a source of inspiration and instruction with regards to landscape photography. The difficulty in attending workshops due to travel restrictions and even the ability to get out and photograph nature because of regional lockdowns and even the fear to leave our local neighbourhood, has become a common reality to the most of us in such a difficult time. Due to this situation there has been a boom in Youtube content and visualization and there are some brilliant and entertaining photographers from around the globe with channels that you can’t miss out on seeing in 2022. Here is a list of some Youtube Channels I suggest you go and check out for inspiration.

Morten is a professional nature photographer, Nikon Ambassador and former special force soldier from Denmark, having served in the Sirius Dogsled Patrol for two years in Greenland. This has given him the skills and confidence to operate alone in remote areas for longer periods and reconnecting with nature, sharing the unique experiences and to put awareness to nature conservation. You have got to check this guys channel out for a unique nature experience. His narration is brilliant and the extremes he goes to to capture the images is just so jaw dropping to watch.

As a landscape and wildlife photographer for 30 years Simon takes his wisdom out in his surrounding beautiful English countryside with short films about landscape and nature photography. He is a senior ecologist and passionate about preserving our native flora and fauna and therefore, in these videos he points out some of interesting things that can be found in the countryside. I also love how this guy captures those intimate details in the field of view through his Pentax 645z camera.

A great friend of mine and co host on many photographic projects such as the Landscape Photography Vlogcast and Outdoor Photography Guide, Paul has had a Youtube Channel for some years now. After recently going full time he has more time to dedicate to his passion on field and I just love the way he has an honest and layed back approach to everything photography related. Check his channel out to see him shooting around in the Highlands of Scotland with his other photographer mates and chilling out in a local scene near by the Lake District in the UK.

Located in Western Australia, Andrew spends much of his time vlogging his landscape photography on isolated Australian deserts and beaches. His use of drone photography integrated into his channel is really interesting to see and what a great way to showcase the great land from downunder with its massive open spaces and textured land. A great channel for anyone interested in seeing some Aussie photography that deserves so much more exposure

Another close friend and photography collaborator of mine with the podcast and Outdoor Photography Guide, also known as Photo Ninja, as his channel is called, Tom has a very layed back and “feeling” approach to his photography. Not focused so much on the technical side to photography, but much so onto his method of getting to know the location and what it breathes really translates with you when you watch his channel. Focused more so on woodland photography, his weekly vlogs take you into the heart of his local woodland. A must see channel

Another great UK based landscape photographer with a growing channel on Youtube, Matt’s cool sense of approach to local woodland and surrounding landscapes is must to watch. The intimate light that he captures on field to mix with this “etheral” style of photography is quite unique to witness. I highly recommend subscribing to his channel and look forward to see what this guy comes up with in 2022.

Photographer/filmmaker based in San Francisco California. Michael posts a variety of videos including short timelapse films, aerial videos, vlogs and also tutorials! Probably one of the most informative and experienced youtubers worth mentioning. His approach and value for entertainment is certainly worth looking out for in 2022.
